How Much Does SEO Cost in Dubai? Real Prices, Explained

in this post
SEO in Dubai typically costs anywhere from around AED 1,500 a month for a freelancer handling local SEO, to AED 2,000–5,000 a month for small agency packages, to AED 10,000 and well beyond for larger agencies and competitive industries. The range is wide because “SEO” covers very different amounts of work, and because most prices are hidden behind “request a quote” forms.
This post gives you the numbers, explains what you’re actually paying for at each level, and tells you what I charge, so you have something real to compare against.
Why SEO prices in Dubai are so hard to find
Try to find a price on an agency website here. You’ll get a contact form, a “free consultation”, and a sales call where the number depends on how big your business looks.
There are reasons for that, some fair. SEO for a two-person clinic and SEO for a property developer are different jobs. But a lot of it is just sales practice: the price goes up when the client can afford it, not when the work does.
I think you should be able to see a price before you talk to anyone. So here’s what the market looks like, and then what I charge.
What SEO costs in Dubai, by type
| What you’ll usually see | What’s actually inside |
|---|---|
| “Starter SEO package” from AED 2,000–3,500/month | A few keywords, basic on-page tweaks, a monthly report. Often templated. Often a junior. |
| “Growth” or “Business” package AED 4,000–8,000/month | More keywords, some content, link building of varying quality, a more detailed report. |
| “Enterprise” from AED 10,000/month up | Dedicated team, content programme, technical work, ongoing link building. Right for large competitive businesses, overkill for most. |
| Freelancers AED 1,000–3,000/month | Varies enormously. Can be the best value in the city or a disappearing act. Ask who they’ve ranked and check. |
Two things most of these have in common: a long contract, usually six to twelve months, and a report you’ll stop reading by month three.
What should actually be in an SEO package
Here’s how to tell a real package from a padded one. Whatever the price, it should include:
A proper look at your site and how it ranks now, before any promises
Research into what your customers actually search for, not a list of 20 keywords you picked on a call
Your Google Business Profile set up and kept alive, if you're a local business
Pages written or rewritten for the searches that matter, by a person who can write
Technical fixes: speed, mobile, structure, the things Google checks
A monthly update you can understand, that says what moved and why
A named person who does the work and answers when you ask
Things that should make you pause: a guarantee of page one, “we’ll submit your site to 500 directories”, link packages measured in hundreds, and a contract longer than the time it takes to see results. Nobody controls Google. Anyone who guarantees it is guessing or planning to run ads and call it SEO.
What I charge
I’m one person, and I do the work myself, so the prices are lower than an agency’s for the same output. There’s no office, no account manager and no sales team in the number.
- Google Maps & local SEO: AED 1,500 a month. Profile setup and management, reviews, photos, local pages, citations, a monthly update. For businesses that need to show up when people nearby search. Full details here.
- Full SEO: AED 2,500 a month. Everything in local, plus content, technical work and the bigger organic searches across Dubai. Full details here.
Both have a three-month minimum, because anything shorter means charging you for work that hasn’t had time to show up, and no setup fee. If you need a new website too, the Found Locally and Found Everywhere bundles include a looked-after website with no build fee.
Prices exclude 5% VAT, and they’re all on the pricing page, not behind a form.
NOT SURE WHERE TO START?
Send me your website on WhatsApp and I'll tell you honestly what's holding it back.
P.S. I reply myself, usually the same day.
How to think about whether it’s worth it
Instead of asking “is AED 1,500 a month a lot”, ask what one new customer is worth to you, and how many you’d need per month to cover it.
A clinic where a new patient is worth AED 800 needs two a month. A consultant with AED 5,000 projects needs one every few months. A café with AED 60 tickets needs a lot more, and should probably start with local SEO only, because the map results are where cafés win.
If the maths doesn’t work for your business, I’ll tell you. Sometimes the honest answer is “fix your Google profile yourself and don’t pay anyone yet”, and I’d rather say that than sell you a package.
Is cheap SEO ever worth it?
Sometimes. A good freelancer at AED 1,500 a month can outperform a mediocre agency at AED 6,000, because the freelancer is doing the work and the agency is managing it. The risk with cheap SEO is the other kind: the AED 500-a-month offers from overseas, which usually mean automated links and templated content that can hurt you.
The question isn’t the price. It’s who’s doing the work, whether you can see it, and whether they’ll tell you the truth when something isn’t working.
Frequently asked questions
How much does SEO cost per month in Dubai?
From around AED 1,500 for local SEO with a freelancer, to AED 2,000–5,000 for small agency packages, to AED 10,000+ for larger agencies. Mine are AED 1,500 and AED 2,500.
Is there a setup fee for SEO?
Many agencies charge one, often AED 2,000–5,000, for the initial audit and plan. I don’t; the audit and plan are part of the first month.
Why do SEO packages have minimum terms?
Because results take time. A three-month minimum is reasonable and honest. A twelve-month lock-in before you’ve seen anything move is protecting the agency, not you.
Can I pay for SEO once instead of monthly?
You can pay for a one-off audit and fixes, which helps, but rankings need ongoing work to hold. I cover why in SEO for small businesses in Dubai.
What’s the difference between local SEO and full SEO pricing?
Local SEO is a finite setup plus a monthly rhythm, so it costs less. Full SEO adds content and the bigger organic searches. Most small businesses should start local. What is local SEO? explains the difference.
