This page explains what information I collect through this website, why, and what you can do about it.
Who I am
This site is run by Kashaf Abid, a website designer and SEO expert based in Dubai, UAE. If you have any questions about this policy or your data, WhatsApp me or email ka@kashafabid.com.
What I collect
When you get in touch through the contact form, I collect your name, email address, WhatsApp number (if you give it) and whatever you write in the message. If this site uses analytics (such as GA4 or Plausible), that tool also collects general usage data, like which pages were visited and roughly where from, which isn't tied to your name.
Why I collect it
I use contact details to reply to you and, if you become a client, to deliver the website or SEO work itself, including invoicing. Analytics data, where it's used, is only to understand how the site is used so I can improve it. I don't use your information for anything else.
Where it's processed
Messages sent through the contact form are handled by Netlify Forms and land in my own email inbox. If analytics is in use, that data is processed by the relevant analytics provider (GA4 or Plausible). I don't share your details with anyone else.
How long I keep it
I keep contact messages and client information for as long as needed to do the work and meet any legal or accounting requirements, then delete it. Analytics data is kept according to that provider's own retention settings.
I don't sell your data
I don't sell, rent or trade your information to anyone, ever.
Your rights
You can ask me at any time what information I hold about you, and ask me to correct or delete it. Email ka@kashafabid.com and I'll sort it out directly. This site aims to handle your data in line with the UAE Personal Data Protection Law (Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021).
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top will change too.
